This position requires that incumbent should nurture a culture where every one recognizes HSE as his / her direct responsibility while implementing HSE policy. He / She must be capable to make HSE a visible norm in the company and enhance systems effectiveness by innovative and time-tested implementation techniques. He must be enjoying relevant technical and general management skills to develop, implement and improve upon HSE program of the Company.Works under general direction of the Head Corportae Risk & Compliance.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
Analyze HSE data collected on specified formats from all Divisions / Projects and report on the health of HSE system implementation to the top management.
Arrange for the Collection of accidents/injuries data from sites and follow up for timely compilation of HSE monthly statistics report. Arrange its distribution to all concerned after the approval of Head Corporate Risk & Compliance.
Improving HSE Standards:
Monitoring HSE Activities:
To provide internal technical support on Safety, Health and Environmental matters to Line Managers.
Visit different project sites for monitoring and inspection of HSE activities to verify compliance of project specific HSE plan and advise improvements where needed through audit reports.
Conduct HSE audits of Divisions/Project Site and follow up for the closeout to verify compliance, and advise concerned to improve the weaknesses observed.
Establish monitoring and measuring techniques, audit to gauge effectiveness, provide feedback to the concerned and take actions to improve HSE systems.
Development HSE Plans , Procedures and Bulletins:
Policies & Procedures:
Recommend improvements to HSE system and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of HSE activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality service to clients and employees.
Taking the Ownership of Company QHSE Policy:
Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks, reduce exposure to hazardous liability and ensure implementation of QHSE policy
Comply with all HSE standards as applicable to the company systems, policies, procedures, and documents in order to deliver the expected quality of work
The efficiency of this position is critical for ensuring protection of company’s credibility with respect HSE policies.
Having large on going construction of engineering, manufacturing and plant services activities, it is critical to have relevant HSE training for employees and sub-contractors engaged with the company.
Has an important role in reviewing and advising the sub-contractors in terms of HSE compliance, participates in projects Kick-Off meetings.
